Coach Madi has been a member of the Trojan Aquatics coaching staff since 2016, beginning her TRAQ career as a high school mentor coach in 2014. Madelyn swam for East Lansing High School team for four years where she was an Academic All-American and was captain her junior and senior year. She is currently a math teacher at ELHS and is Head Coach for the East Lansing High School Girls and Boys Swim/Dive teams and Holt/East Lansing Girls and Boys Water Polo teams. She coaches at TRAQ alongside her sister, Coach Lilly!
Coach Alexa joined the TRAQ coaching staff in 2019. A graduate of Traverse City West High School, she has lived all over the country. In addition to being a four-year letterwinner at T.C. West, Alexa’s swim background includes YMCA and USA Swimming. She was also a Grand Traverse Bay YMCA lifeguard and swim instructor. Alexa also enjoys softball, Taekwondo, and hiking. She is a student at Michigan State University majoring in Kinesiology with a minor in Spanish.
Coach Bridget joined the Trojan Aquatics staff in the Fall of 2022. A native of grand Rapids, she swam competitively for both club and high school teasm on the west side of the mitten. She majoring in English and Public Relations at Michigan State University .
Coach Matias joined the Trojan Aquatics in 2021. Matias swam for East Lansing from 3rd through 12th grade, and he was instrumental in the middle school team’s first CAAC championship title. His senior year as a Trojan, Matias was CAAC runner-up in the 200 free and third in the 100 free; qualifying for MHSAA D2 state meet in the 200 free.
Matias is a junior at MSU. He likes to be active - playing ultimate frisbee, swimming, and traveling.
Coach Jake started swimming in high school, working his way to team captain his senior year. He swam year round for Oakland Live Yers (OLY) swimming. He
Jake currently studies Kinesiology as a junior at MSU and participates on the MSU club swim team. He loves spending time in the outdoors with his family, going to the movies with his friends, and helping give back to the swim community.
Coach Mikayla joined the TRAQ and Raptor Staff in 2022. She played swam and played polo for Walled Lake Centeral High School and colelge polo for Purdue University, She has a degree from Purdue in Chemical Engineering and currently is a Chemical Engineer at Niowave, Inc. in Lansing.
She assists with both swimming and water polo.
Coach Jaden is a new addition to the Trojan Aquatics coaching staff this year. Jaden has been swimming for the past 14 years which included swimming for her city summer team, Woods Warriors, and local club team, Grosse Pointe Gators. Jaden was a 4 year Varsity High School swimmer, serving as Captain her senior year. Jaden's passion for swimming led her to being an assistant coach for 2 years and eventually being named 8 & Under coach in 2021 where she has been since!
Jaden is currently a Sophomore at MSU studying kinesiology and a proud member of the MSU swim club.
Coach Chloe joined the TRAQ coaching staff during the fall of 2021. Chloe has 15 years experience as a high-level competitive swimmer. Originally from Brighton, Michigan, she swam on the Brighton High School Varsity Swim Team all 4 years and was a team captain. She was a Michigan D1 state finalist all 4 years of high school and had earned All-State and All-American awards. She then went on to become a student-athlete at Michigan State University as a part of the Varsity Swim and Dive team. Chloe is a Senior at Michigan State, studying Advertising Management and Public Relations.
Coach Lilly joined the Trojan Aquatics coaching team in 2018. Lilly swam for East Lansing High School for four years at the varsity level and was captain her senior year, she was also a former member of our middle school swim team! Lilly is a junior at Michigan State University and is going into Pre-Medical Field in the College of Natural Science. Lilly is also a member of the MSU Women’s Club Water Polo Team.
